The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Inverell on Tuesday night following a motorcycle accident.
Emergency crews responded to the accident at the corner of Wood and Grieve St at around 9:30pm with the Chopper tasked by NSW Ambulance at around 10pm.
Officers attached to New England Police District were told a motorbike left the roadway at the intersection before the rider crashed nearby.
A 17 year old male was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for hip and leg injuries before being transported to Inverell Hospital to meet the helicopter’s critical care medical team.
The patient was further treated and stabilised before being airlifted to Tamworth Base Hospital in a stable condition.
