Christmas has arrived early for a family living in Bingara who faced deportation.

New England MP Barnaby Joyce says Petrus and Rosemary Atep and their children under the age of 18 currently residing in Bingara, have received visas from Immigration Minister Tony Burke which will allow the family to stay in Australia but does not include family members over the age of 18.

Mr Joyce says he has worked closely with Minister Burke in addressing the matter and thanked him for his contribution in delivering the Visas.

He congratulated the Bingara community for their efforts in supporting the family.
