More Rain Likely This Week

by | Mar 31, 2025 | Weather | 0 comments

Settled conditions are forecast to develop across most of New South Wales early this week, as a ridge of high pressure extends across from the west.

The Bureau of Meteorology says another trough may extend into the northeast of New South Wales from the middle of the week, bringing unsettled conditions to the area.

Minor to Moderate flooding is occurring in parts of the Northwest Slopes with flood warnings current in the Gwydir River catchment but flooding is no longer expected for the Upper Macintyre River catchment.

Further rainfall is forecast in the northeast of New South Wales from the middle of the week which may cause renewed river rises and flooding with the Bureau monitoring the situations adding flood watches and flood warning will be issued as required.

Heavy rain is forecast tomorrow and Wednesday for Inverell with 20-40mm forecast both days before the sun reappears towards the end of the week.
