A local couple are gearing up to take part in their 3rd Drover’s Run which kicks off next month, raising money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Mitch and Tanya Orchard say their looking forward to this year’s 9 day Run which will kick off at Armatree near Gilgandra and take in towns including Bourke, Cunnamalla, Eromanga, Milparinka, Byrock, Coonabarabran and finish in Tamworth.
This year, the event will have 22 vehicles transporting 43 participants over 3000 km in a bid to raise $100,000 for the service.
Tanya says their fundraising efforts will once again be given a boost from Best Community Shed donating $10,000 for the cause
The Drover’s Run will kick off on the 1st of August
