Over 600 players and 48 teams competed at the Rale Rasic Joeys Mini World Cup held over the long weekend at the Inverell Sporting Complex with organiser Heinrich Hauseller claiming it’s the best one ever held.
The Under 17s competition was taken out by the Joey’s All STA team (Germany) who defeated Hunter Barbarians (Spain) 1-0, the Under 15 Girls was won by Coffs Harbour/Moree (Australia), Bundaberg Across the Waves (Holland) took out the Women’s competition, Southern Downs QLD (Germany) won the Under 14s while Woolgoolga Sharks (Brazil) claimed the Under 12s division.
Mr Haussler says he’s received good feedback from the many families that made Inverell home over the long weekend, stressing there were many happy, smiling faces.
He says looking forward to next year, the format will be slightly changed to assist with the accommodation issues in Inverell.
