The Mayors of Inverell and Uralla Shire’s are preparing for a mayoral jumper swap dependant on Sunday’s Group 19 1st grade Grand Final result between the Uralla Tigers and the Inverell Hawks on Sunday at Uralla’s Woodville Oval.
An item in the Northern Daily Leader says Uralla Mayor Robert Bell and Inverell Mayor Kate Dight are backing their teams to win Sunday’s decider in Uralla with Mayor Bell tipping the Tigers to win by 6-10 points while Mayor Dight thinks the Hawks will win by 6.
Mayor Dight also commended the Inverell Hawks for getting their Reserve and Ladies League tag teams in Grand finals despite suffering injuries and setbacks along the way.
Inverell will face Uralla in the 1st and Reserve Grade Grand Finals with their Women’s team to tackle Glen Innes Magpie for the Ladies League tag decider.
