Inverell Shire Mayor Paul Harmon will be stepping out tomorrow on the Gold Coast to raise awareness about mental health and wellbeing.
Mayor Harmon has joined a campaign called ‘Everything Is Possible’ and will be attempting to walk 100km in 24 hours with organiser Chris Brassel.
Cr Harmon says he was invited by Ms Brassel to take on the challenge last year and has been in training over the past few months, walking around 8 to 10 k’s each morning to prepare for tomorrow’s event.
He says men’s mental health needs highlighting and encouraged men to join him walking if they sight him out and speak up about any issues that are affecting their lives.
