The Court proceedings involving a 27-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a man in his 30’s in Guyra in June will be back before Armidale Local Court in October.

McMahon was later apprehended at a unit on Canambe Street, allegedly trying to flee the scene and in possession of a hunting knife at the time of his arrest and attempting to resist arrest.
Several officers suffered minor lacerations during the arrest.
McMahon, who has been behind bars since the incident, is facing the charges of Wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, Assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm, and Carry cutting weapon upon apprehension.
A police brief is expected to be served October 7th with the matter listed for Further Mention on the 21st of October.
