Emergency crews were called to Byron Lane in Inverell on Saturday night following an incident which left a man with leg injuries.
NSW Ambulance say they were called at around 11pm following reports that a 28-year-old man had his leg impaled on a fence.
Local paramedics attended the scene and stabilised the man who was then taken to Inverell Hospital.
The man’s condition is unknown.
