A 29-year-old man arrested on Sunday following 3-day police operation at Yetman has also been charged with several alleged aggravated break and enters in Glen Innes.
Zane Walker is alleged to have been involved in incidents at a unit in Grieve Lane and a caravan at the Glen Innes Showgrounds on Thursday morning where on both occasions it’s believed he threatened occupants with a knife.
Walker then reportedly stole the keys to a Dodge pickup truck and a necklace before he and another man entered the vehicle with the caravan attached and drove through closed gates onto Hunter Street.
The vehicle was spotted on Strathbogie Rd at Wellingrove where a police pursuit was initiated but was terminated shortly after due to safety concerns.
A second pursuit was initiated later the same day, with the vehicle unable to be located in bushland near Yetman.
A Police operation began on Thursday afternoon and ended on Sunday when Walker was eventually arrested.
He has been charged with numerous offences, faced bail court yesterday and was refused bail to appear at Inverell Local Court on the 24th of September.

A man has been charged over several alleged aggravated break and enters in the state’s New England region.
About 7.15am Thursday 6 August 2026, officers attached to New England Police District were called to a unit on Grieve Lane, Glen Innes, with reports of a break and enter.
Police arrived and were told a resident of the unit – a woman in her 40s – had awoken to find an unknown man inside the unit after allegedly kicking in a door.
When the man allegedly began rummaging through a bedroom demanding car keys, a neighbour – a man in his 50s – confronted him; the alleged intruder reportedly produced a hunting knife before leaving the scene with another man.
No injuries were reported.
A set of car keys was reported missing during the incident.
Police were also informed of other alleged offences committed shortly after at a showground on Torrington Street, in which a man forced entry into a caravan and threatened the occupants with a knife, demanding keys and money.
He then reportedly stole the keys to a Dodge pickup truck and a necklace before he and another man entered the vehicle with the caravan attached and drove through closed gates onto Hunter Street, Glen Innes.
Police attended and following inquiries, officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command located the vehicle on Strathbogie Road, Wellingrove.
A pursuit was initiated; it was terminated shortly after due to safety concerns.
A second pursuit was initiated later the same day, with the vehicle unable to be located in bushland near Yetman.
With the assistance of the local community – including farmers in the area – and following inquiries, police located and arrested a 29-year-old man in a yard on a rural property on Holdfast Road, Yetman, about 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday 9 August 2026).
A knife was also allegedly seized.
The man was taken to Inverell Police Station where he was charged with 10 offences,
· Aggravated break and enter with intent – armed (two counts)
· Robbery armed with offensive weapon
· Steal motor vehicle
· Destroy or damage property
· Police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously
· Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period
· Not stop vehicle when directed to do so
· Drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous
· Use etc offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention etc.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 5 today (Monday 10 August 2026).
