The Macintyre High School U15 girls basketball team travelled to Port Macquarie and competed in the State Knockout carnival earlier this week.

In the first game, the girls met with fierce competitors Terrigal in a physically demanding game and though fought hard, unfortunately went down 60-19.

However, in the second game, the team went up against Orara where the girls played a strong offensive and defensive game and controlled the game from start to finish coming away with a mighty 40-32 win.

The resulting games have now placed the girls inside the Top 20 of the State in the Knockout Basketball series.
