A Year 9 Holy Trinity School student has been invited to participate at the 2026 Cross Country tour of America in September for young Australian students.
Luke Readett says he’s excited to be selected for the tour and will be doing some fundraising between now and the tour , with the estimated costs for he and his mother to be part of the tour being approximately $20,000.
The tour gives selected athletes an opportunity to travel and compete internationally, experience various cultural activities and develop lifetime friendships.
The 15-year-old, who has represented his school at state level in cross country and athletics and participated in Little Athletics at zone, regional and state level, says he and his family are now in the process of raising money for the tour.
