Two Inverell women have returned from Switzerland after representing Australia at the Masters Games.
Kelli McCormack and Rachel Laughton wore the green and gold in the Over 45’s Women’s basketball team in 6 games.
Kelli says the first three matches were pool games, losing to Mexico A, defeating El Salvador and then going down defeated by Brazil A.
She says the team made it to the top 16, but unfortunately were again defeated by Brazil A, overcame Ecuador in a tough game and finally ended the tournament with a win against Ukraine in a tight game.
Australia ended up coming 13th out of 21 teams.
Kelli says she and Rachel thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the chance to represent Australia.
