Inverell Rifle Club members Byron La Fontaine, Isabella and Jake Campbell have been selected in the Australian Under 25 F Open Rifle team to compete at the 2026 F Class World Championships in the United Kingdom.

They will shoot in a team event which will take place over 3 days along with also competing in individual events against the best shooters in the world, many of which will travel over from Australia and USA.

Byron, who’s been made captain of the 8-person squad, says he learned plenty from his trip last year and will be again travelling to the U.K to compete in the European championships in August.

He says the upcoming trip will allow him to gain further experience ahead of the World championships next year.

Costs for team members average around $10-15K with the community invited to assist local shooters through donations on the Australian Sports Foundation website as well as buying tickets in upcoming raffles.
