| The NSW Government’s Local Land Services is calling for applications to its local boards, offering an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of rural communities across NSW. |
| There are 16 board member positions open, including a chair in the South East region, which will be appointed by the Minister for Agriculture and Regional NSW Tara Moriarty for a four-year term. Applications close on Friday 23 January 2026. Chief Executive Officer Kate Lorimer-Ward said local boards played a key role in connecting Local Land Services to landholders and communities across NSW. “Local Land Services’ local boards have their fingers on the pulse of NSW’s agricultural landscape, with a unique understanding of what is needed on the ground to deliver real outcomes for farmers,” Ms Lorimer-Ward said. “Their valuable local insights help shape the services Local Land Services delivers, including support for landholders with pest animal control, agricultural production and natural resource management. “I’d like to thank the outgoing board members for their service and welcome new faces and voices to the table through this latest round of recruitment, which will continue to build on the wealth of knowledge and experience in our community.” Each of Local Land Services’ 11 regions has its own board of community representatives, made up of a mix of Ministerially appointed and elected board members who bring a wealth of skills and experience to the organisation. The chair of each board sits on the statewide Local Land Services Board, which is responsible for overseeing statewide priorities.
