Local government election results continue to come through with Glen Innes Severn and Gwydir Shire Councils confirming their new councillors for the next 4-year term.
Incumbent Glen Innes Severn Council Mayor Rob Banham, Carol Sparks, Tim Alt, Margot Davis, Max Elphick, Andrew Parson and Troy Arandale have all been elected to the new Glen Innes Severn Council.
It’ll be a new look Gwydir shire Council with Tiffany Galvin, Marilyn Dixon, John Bishton, Sarah Crump, Sean Coleman, Rachel Sherman, Scot Crispin, Adrian Wilmot and Mick Collins elected to the new Council.
Uralla Shire Council elections were uncontested in both Ward A and Ward B with Kathrine ARNOLD, Sarah BURROWS, Leanne DORAN, Jen PHILP, Adam BLAKESTER, David MAILLER, Tom O’CONNOR and Lone PETROV.
A special poll of ratepayers was also taken on election day with voters overwhelmingly voting to remove the current Ward system while they did not support the councillors electing the Mayor.
