A couple of members of the NSW Rural Fire service Northern Tablelands Team are currently part of the Australian contingent assisting on the Red Earth Complex Fire in Alberta, Canada.
Operational Officer Level 1 Caleb Watson and Dundee Deputy Captain Jack Chappell have been on the ground, working as arduous firefighters alongside Canadian crews.
Rod Smith from the Inverell brigade is set to depart for Canada on the weekend and will deployed as an Air base manager for the next 4-5 weeks.
Widespread fires in Canada have been burning since last month.
