Local cricketers will once again look skywards to see if rain will further hinder the opening rounds of the Inverell Cricket competition.

The Inverell Cricket Association is asking for players and supporters to check their Facebook page to keep up to date with any wet weather updates.

Round 7 matches will see Campbell and Freebairn take on Delungra at Varley Oval while Square & Compass faces competition leaders Staggy Creek at McCosker 2.

Staggy and Square and Compass have both won 3 games this season with the winner to claim the outright lead of the competition.

Matches kick off at 1pm, weather dependant.
