Christmas has come early for the Sapphire City Concert Band receiving a generous donation from an undisclosed community member.

The band were the proud recipients of $5000 which will now go towards the purchase of a Bassoon as well as consumables such as extra reeds, a lesson book and a term’s worth of tuition for a member of the band to learn the instrument.

Sapphire City Concert Band President Narelle Kennedy was quite surprised when she received the news and was both thankful and excited for the generous support.
