A local businessman is raising money for children and family’s battling childhood cancer as part of a fundraiser called Charlie’s Run 4 Kids.
Mitchell Johnson from MacIntrye Hotbread is running 150km in 5 days from Seal Rocks to Newcastle starting on Wednesday 12th of March.
Speaking on STA FM on Saturday, Mr Johnson says he’s been in training since December and has been running around 12-15 km a day to prepare for the event.
He says this year’s event will be raising funds for two girls struck down by cancer, Luna and Evelyn adding he became involved with cause back in 2017

Donations can be made at Charlie’s Run 4 Kids Facebook page or at MacIntyre Hotbread while raffle tickets are also available at the bakery with first prize being $5,000
