The finest young auctioneers from across the country are preparing to take centre stage at the 2025 Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association National and New South Wales Young Auctioneers Competitions, held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this Friday.

Inverell will be represented again in the state competition with Darcy Brennan from Lehman Stock & Property, Luke Richards from JA McGregor Livestock & Property, Inverell & Warialda as well as former Inverell resident Will McLachlan who now works for Elders Rural Services at Wagga Wagga.

ALPA CEO Peter Baldwin says the philosophy behind the competitions is to elevate young auctioneers, equipping them with the skills to succeed in this vital profession.

Last year, Justin Oakenful claimed the ALPA National ALPA Young Auctioneer Competition giving him the opportunity to represent Australia at the Calgary Stampede in Canada.
