In Central North Rugby major semi-final results, the Quirindi Lions will defend their title on home turf after they overcame the Moree Bulls 40-33 at Weebolla Oval on Saturday.
Moree will now face Narrabri Blue Boars in this Saturdays Preliminary final.
In Reserve grade Narrabri pipped Moree 19-12 while in the Women’s competition, Narrabri were too strong for Pirates, winning 52-5.
Pirates will now back up and play the Inverell Highlanders this weekend for a berth in the grand final against Narrabri.
