A significant milestone has been made by the Glen Innes Severn Public & TAFE Library as it celebrates 70 years of service this year.
Since its inception in 1953 and official opening on 17 December 1954, the library in Glen Innes has provided a welcoming community space for learning, connection and discovery.
The library will be hosting a variety of events throughout November to mark the occasion including Write, Publish, Inspire: A Step-by-Step Workshop for Aspiring Authors’ with Justine Martin and a special Author Talk with celebrated Australian authors Karly Lane and Peter Watt.
The official 70th Anniversary Ceremony will take place at the Library Saturday November 30th from 9am, with more information available by heading to the Glen Innes Severn Council website or by visiting council’s Facebook page.
