The first of two Late Night Shopping events takes place this evening with consumers urged to support the local economy.
Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Monique Krauss says many local businesses have come on board to support the initiative and will have a plethora of bargains in store in the lead up to Christmas.
Ms Krauss says business confidence is looking positive within the local economy but admits it’s been a tough year in retail adding many retailers are counting on this year’s Christmas sales to keep their business healthy.
She says it’s great to see many businesses coming on board for the late-night shopping initiative.
Late Night shopping continues next Thursday (December 18th) which will also include an Artisan Market Display being set up at the Art Gallery in Evans St
