The Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hailed the recent late night shopping events as a success adding the Inverell public showed they want late night shopping to continue.
26 different retailers in the CBD had extended hours with boutiques and specialty stores which had previously opened with late night shopping on their own or during Christmas events in years gone by saying that these two late night shopping events were far busier and more successful for them because there were more people out on the street with so many retailers open.
Chamber President Monique Krauss says the event was made all the more successful due to the Chamber working in cooperation with the Inverell Art Gallery to time late night shopping with the first artisan Christmas markets adding the markets was a huge success for the Art Gallery and participating stallholders and really helped to draw people to the CBD after 5pm.
Ms Krauss says on the back of such a successful event the Chamber will definitely continue late night shopping in 2026 and will be looking for opportunities to spread more excitement and crowds through the CBD.
