Inverell Highlanders will be keen to continue their winning form in the Central North Rugby Competition when they tackle the Gunnedah Red Devils at Rugby Park tomorrow.
The Highlanders are coming off a confidence building win against 2nd place Narrabri Blue Boars and need to win to keep their top 4 aspirations alive.
With Moree Bulls, Narrabri and Pirates looking almost certain to book a finals berth, the Highlanders are locked in a battle with the Quirindi Lions for 4th spot with both teams locked on 47 points with two rounds remaining.
It’s also a big day off the field for the Highlanders as they host their annual Ladies Day which will include a jersey auction for the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group and entertainment in the clubhouse after the game.
In the other round 17 game, Quirindi are at home to Narrabri with the Highlanders keeping an eye on that match while trying to knock over the Red Devils.
