A 33-year-old man, accused of attacking two women and threatening a man at knifepoint during alleged unprovoked attacks in Uralla and Kentucky in June last year, is yet to enter pleas on eight charges relating from the incident.
The Northern Daily Leader reports Daniel Martin, who did not appear in Armidale Local Court on Wednesday, faces charges of aggravated break and enter to commit indictable offence, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, reckless wounding, using an offensive weapon, assault and intimidation.
Martin’s defence solicitor John Harris said there had been a case conference with the Director of Public Prosecutions and that negotiations looked promising.
An order for Martin to appear via video link at the next hearing was made by Judge Mark Richardson with the accused remaining behind bars.
