by | Aug 1, 2024 | Sport | 0 comments

Former Inverell Highlanders Captain Coach Dave Kearsey along with the Australian Deaf Rugby Men’s squad have left Australia and are currently in the air headed to South Africa to play in two tournaments next week.

Both tournaments are over 2 days with first competition being a 7s format kicking off on Saturday while the 2nd is 10s format starting on Wednesday competing against South Africa, England, Japan, Ghana and Zimbabwe

Dave says his squad was selected from trials they held throughout the year and are from all over Australia with majority from NSW and QLD.

He says the Australian team are confident of a good showing though he’s wary of England and South Africa while Ghana will have some speedy wingers
