Three Inverell Saints juniors have been put through their paces on Saturday as part of the Northern Heat Development Program.
Zach Johnson and Hayden Peters enjoyed the Heat’s second session at the University of New England in Armidale but were without Billy Thom who is currently with the wanderers Australia Football team in Europe.
The trio were part of premiership teams in the Under 14s AFL Northwest competitions in 2022 and 2023.
During the first session last month, Heat members completed a 1km time trial and a Yo-Yo test with results recorded with the group to perform the same tests on February 1 when they regather for the first time after Christmas in Coffs Harbour to see how much their fitness has improved over the summer.
Northern Heat Strength and Conditioning coach Matt Pine outlined the running program the young Development Program members are required to complete over summer.
