New England MP Barnaby Joyce has teed off on the Labor’s new Member for Melbourne Sarah Witty after she stated in Parliament last week that her constituents wanted people to have courage and act on climate
Ms Witty stated when we act on climate, we protect lives, create jobs, clean the air and build a more just and sustainable Australia.
In response, Mr Joyce asked Ms Whitty to have the courage to have the wind turbines, transmission lines and solar panels erected in her suburbs, parks and electorate adding she shouldn’t be forcing it onto other seats around Australia.
He says it’s very easy to be brave when someone else has to pay a price adding this issue has becoming personal.
