New England MP Barnaby Joyce has not ruled out running for the lower house for One Nation at the next federal election, despite declaring he would not be recontesting the seat of New England.
The revelation comes as One Nation continues to poll well, with the latest Resolve Political Monitor poll putting both the Coalition and One Nation on 23 % of the primary vote while Labor held 32%.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Joyce says the plan is that he’ll stand for the Senate, but admits as they get closer to the election it will depend on what his party wants him to do.
He says this discussion is not for now but for down the track.
