New England MP Barnaby Joyce has officially joined the One Nation Party after resigning from the National Party recently.
In a social media post, Mr Joyce says his defection to One Nation is premised by two main points being to ensure Australian interest comes first and centre and being in an effective position to do his job.
Mr Joyce says he’s firmly of the view which he has considered over a long period of time that the best choice before him is to stand for One Nation as a Senator for NSW.
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says she’s pleased Mr Joyce has chosen One Nation, and welcomes his experience, his advice and his determination to get a fair go for farmers and regional Australia.
