New England MP Barnaby Joyce has confirmed his departure from the Nationals Party after 30 years saying it leaves him with a heavy heart.
Mr Joyce says the breakdown of relationships within the Party, especially with leader David Littleproud, was the main reason for his resignation adding it wasn’t decision he took lightly.
The Former deputy Prime Minister says he could read the signs that he wasn’t wanted within the Party and also confirmed former Liberal leader Peter Dutton had asked My Joyce to leave the Coalition, twice
He says a decision to move to One Nation hasn’t been made but is considering standing in the Senate at the next Federal election.
