Joyce Believes Uni’s and Schools are to be Blamed for Hate Against Hanson

by | Aug 20, 2026 | Politics

New England MP Barnaby Joyce blames the educational system for the hate and threats made by students against One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson at last week’s student protests.

It follows protests around the country by students, organised by the National Union of Students, which included banners, signs and effigies of Ms Hanson with the crowd also chanting for Ms Hanson to be killed.

It also comes after a One Nation volunteer was attacked while running a stall at Brisbane’s Ekka resulting in the volunteer ending in hospital with a broken rib.

Speaking on STA FM, My Joyce believes there are some teachers and university lecturers who are more interested in being political activists and taking their views into classrooms rather than teaching students reading, writing and arithmetic.

Mr Joyce says everyone has the right to disagree with politicians, but no right to bring violence.
