After a very successful 3 days, the Rale Rasic Joeys Mini World Cup will wrap up with multiple finals events to played at the complex today.
Over 70 teams took part in the event with players coming from Toowoomba, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Stanthorpe, Newcastle and as far as Adelaide, with an estimated 3000 people contributing to the local economy; tournament organiser and co-founder Heinrich Haussler claiming this year’s event to be the largest held in Inverell.
A presentation evening was held last night at the Inverell RSM club, which saw players from multiple divisions selected to play for a spot in the squad selected by German Bunesliger Coach Jens Kiefer, to take part in a playing tournament to be held in Germany.
The Joeys Mini World Cup will conclude with a final players selection to be conducted later today.
