Hundreds have braved the cold and drizzly conditions to attend the Jammin on the Green Fundraising event at Inverell Sporties on Saturday.
Event Organiser Brock Mather says it was mind blowing to see the number of volunteers turn up to help set up adding the event was a tremendous success.
Mr Mather says they believe they’ve exceeded last year’s fundraising total of $24,000 but are still tallying up the monies raised from the yabby races, the kissing booth and the major auction.
He says there’s no doubt the event will become an annual event as it grows to become the number 1 feature on the New England Events Calendar.
The money raised, which will be confirmed soon, will be distributed to families who are experiencing illness that need financial assistance to meet medical bills, travel and accommodation.
