An Inverell golfer has finished with a top 10 result at the Lismore Junior Open played on Sunday.
12-year-old James Davis, competing against kids aged 18 years, finished the tournament tied for 7th place from a field of 33, 8 shots off the eventual leader.
James’ father Ben says he played a fantastic top 9 but faltered on the back 9, blaming a lapse of concentration on two holes before recovering to finish with a 75.
James was the youngest golf on the course and played against golfers from the North Coast.
