Macintyre High school students Henry Oliver, Landon Doak & Isaac Paton have recently returned from participating in the IT Exchange hosted by the Rotary Club of North Ryde.
The exchange is designed to give students from remote schools the opportunity to look at a variety of industries & how they employ technology.
The students visited various companies including Oracle, Cole’s Distribution Centre, Cisco, IBM & Google as well as Macquarie University, the Department of Home Affairs & UTS Library.
They also got up close and personal with Cochlear implants, using hazard cameras on bobcats, the use of robots in delivering books & technologies of the future such at AI.
Inverell Rotary Club President Helen Tickle says the IT exchange has been run by the rotary club of Ryde for several years, providing great opportunities for those who attend.
