Inverell Shire Council has endorsed its annual report for the 2024-25 Financial year following it’s monthly meeting on Wednesday.
General manager Brett McGuiness stated in the report that over the past year, Council has delivered several significant community initiatives and major infrastructure projects, singling out the completion of the Inverell Aquatic Centre, which in dollar terms is the largest infrastructure project ever delivered by Council.
Mr McGuinnes says Council remains focused on providing high-quality services and facilities for today’s residents, while maintaining a clear vision for the needs of tomorrow.
Shire Mayor Kate Dight says during 2024–25, Council remained acutely aware of the need to balance income with expenditure, while continuing to meet the evolving expectations of the community.
