Inverell Public School are celebrating taking out the Primary Girls Rugby 7’s PSSA State championships on Friday in Sydney.
The team had played 4 knockout rounds before competing in Sydney and had a massive 20-nil win over Temora West primary School in their first match which qualified them for the final.
In a close tussle against Centaur Primary School, Inverell Public led by one try at half time before running away with the game 6 tries to 3.
Coach Nigel Henly says the team played extremely well with excellent ball movement while its senior players were great with their counter rucking.
