Inverell police had a busy weekend investigating several incidents in the town.
A residential unit on Warialda Rd was broken into sometime between 9pm Sunday and 9am yesterday with unknown offenders taking keys to the occupant’s motor vehicle and the vehicle, a silver RAV4 SUV subsequently stolen.
Investigations are also taking place into a graffiti incident at a high school on Swanbrook Rd over the weekend where 3 windows were also smashed at the location and a motor vehicle break-in in Campbell St where window was smashed sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Meantime a 17-year-old male was arrested yesterday morning for breaching bail conditions.
Police were patrolling Short St when they observed three persons with hooded jumpers walking towards Clive Street.
After interacting with the three unknown persons, police arrested the 17-year-old and also charged him with Face blackened/disguised w/i to commit indictable offence and Possess housebreaking implements.
Bail was refused by police, however granted later that day by Parramatta Children’s Court with the matter adjourned to 29th of January at Inverell Children’s Court.
