It was another successful year with the annual Inverell’s Got Talent competition officially kicking off the Sapphire City Festival celebrations last Friday.
The Inverell Town Hall was abuzz with excitement as an enthusiastic line-up of entertainers competed for a share in the $2000 prize money, with members of Inverell East Rotary Club, along with Inverell High School volunteers organising and facilitating the popular event.

The evening consisted of 3 categories, with the Jenny Fox Memorial Prize for Best Junior Performance awarded to Haylee Phillips-Lewis, while both the Best Original Song and Open Senior Sections being awarded to Alex Munro for his original song titled “Dream Time Stories”; this is also Alex Munro’s 2nd win in a row for the Best Original Song category.

Prizes were presented by Rotarian Tim Newberry on behalf of Inverell East Rotary President Barry Mason, with Mr Newberry congratulating all the performers and thanked everybody concerned with the show.
