Inverell VIEW Club has raised money to support 3 students in conjunction with the Smith Family ‘s Education of Disadvantaged children Learning for Life program.
The Club’s Barbara Douglas says they currently sponsors 2 Primary, and 1 High school student recommended to the Smith Family by their school.
The monies go towards the purchase of school stationery, tutoring and allow students to go on excursions that would miss out on these adventures if not for the Learning for Life program.
Inverell VIEW Club currently have 41 financial members, and their main fundraising is a Treasure Chest of gold coins that are donated during monthly meetings as well fun days out such as Australia Day, International Women’s Day and raffles.
The Smith Family launched its Back to School Appeal this week, with anyone wanting to make donations advised to go to the Smith Family website.
