NAIDOC Week 2025 is set to be a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, history, and achievements.
This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, Legacy,” highlights the resilience and foresight of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and the enduring legacy of their ancestors.
The Inverell & Tingha NAIDOC Committee have curated a week-long calendar of events and is calling on the Inverell and broader community to join with them to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025!
This NAIDOC Week, communities across Australia will come together to participate in a variety of events, including cultural performances, art exhibitions, community gatherings, and educational workshops.
These activities aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of culture and promote reconciliation.

Inverell Street March and Opening Ceremony
Assemble 10am @ Armajun, Rivers St Inverell proceed to Victoria Park for Opening Ceremony and BBQ. The public are notified there will be minor disruption to traffic in the CBD with rolling street closures from 10:30am as the march proceeds with police escort from 1 Rivers St:
- North East to Otho Street
- Left onto Otho Street to Byron Street
- Right onto Byron Street to Vivian Street
- Right onto Vivian Street to Victoria Park
- March to conclude at Victoria Park at approximately 11.00am – 11:10am
