Inverell Show Society has requested Inverell Shire Council make a $15,000 contribution towards the production costs of the 2025 Inverell Show, which kicks off this Friday.
In its submission to the Council, the Show Society state their anticipated income for this year, based on last year’s income, is $113,860, however its expected income may be down this year due to fewer sponsorships, memberships and trade applications.
With the show also clashing with the Newcastle and Tamworth shows, the show society also says they have no idea on how this will impact the Inverell show in relation to the rides available in sideshow alley, adding limited side shows will produce limited attendance.
Council will discuss the matter at today’s Council meeting.
