Current Inverell Shire Councillors will sit for a further two Council meetings before their term ends September.
The next meeting will be the 14th of August while their final meeting will be held on the 4th of September ahead of Local Government election on the 14th of September.
Inverell Shire Council Mayor Paul Harmon is encouraging any member of the community who has an interest in local government and is considering standing at the elections to contact current Councillors or General Manager Brett McInnes to assist them with any enquiries.
The NSW Electoral Commission advise the Close of nominations and registration of candidates and groups is on Wednesday 14th of August.
