The Inverell RSM Club has reported a strong financial position, following its annual general meeting held yesterday.
Audited financials show the club achieved a net profit of $1.3 million for the 2024–25 financial year and in addition, $180,000 was donated back into the community through bursaries, scholarships, grants, and local donations.
Over the past six months, the club has reinvested $250,000 into new furnishings, greenery and renovations including the auditorium bathrooms and the men’s facilities near the upstairs offices while the ladies’ facilities adjacent to the auditorium are scheduled for refurbishment in the new year, with plans to include an all-abilities access bathroom suitable for wheelchairs.
Five board positions were filled, with three new members joining: Stephen Hamilton, Michael Frost, and Brad Hilton.
Club President Jacko Ross, who has served on the board since the late 80s, said he has never seen the club in such a strong financial position.
