11 candidates have nominated to fill 9 council positions for Inverell Shire at September’s Local Government election.
Current councillors Paul Harmon, Kate Dight, Jo Williams, Paul King, Jack Ross, and Wendy Wilks will seek re-election onto Council while new candidates Fiona Brown, Greg Kachel, Ian Hooker, Kelvin Brown and Graeme Murray have also confirmed their nominations.
Long serving councillors Di Baker, Stewart Berryman won’t be contesting the election while a spot on council became vacant earlier this year following the resignation of Nicky Lavender.
The roles of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be decided by the elected councillors at a Council meeting later this year.
The Local Government Elections will take place on Saturday 14th September.
