The Inverell Highlanders have confirmed they will field a Women’s team to compete in the Central North Rugby Women’s 10 competition this year.

Central North teams agreed to accept the Highlanders proposal at a committee meeting last month to field a 7’s team when they play Inverell during the season.

The Club is ecstatic to have the women’s team re-emerge after several years in the wilderness, and will be under the guidance of former Aussie 7’s gold medallist Gemma Noller.

The Highlanders Women’s team face a sizable task in the opening round when they Face Pirates in Tamworth in Round 1 in the Central North Rugby competition on Saturday 26^th April.
