The Inverell Hawks hopes for a Group 19 Rugby League Grand Final berth is on the line this Sunday when they travel to tackle the Armidale Rams in the Preliminary Final.
Hawks President Ethan Anderson says the team have hit their straps in recent weeks despite not giving the Hawks a chance of making finals a month ago.
Mr Anderson says mediocre 1st halves have cost the Hawks dearly in the previous meeting against the Rams this year adding they need to start well if they’re a chance for qualifying to the Grand Final.
Matches kick off on Sunday morning at 10:45 with the Ladies tag plate match between the Moree Boomerangs and the Inverell Hawks, followed at 12 noon by the Ladies tag clash between the Bingara Bullets and the Narwan Eels, the Warialda Wombats face the Inverell Hawks in the u18s clash at 1:15 while the 1st grade game is set to begin at 2:45pm with the winners of the games to advance to their respective grand finals next weekend in Warialda.
